President Kiir said not all the Ambassadors will be sent to the different countries that South Sudan wants to set up embassies due to lack of resources; most of them will temporarily be based at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He called on the Ambassadors to lobby for investment in the various sectors in the country. But more particularly he emphasized on health and agriculture as demanding sectors.

“It will be your duty to make it clear to investors in the countries you’re in that business is here. You know that there are no hospitals, clinics, and health centres here,” Kiir said .

However, President kiir also warned the Diplomats from practicing tribalism in wherever they will be sent to. “I don’t want reports coming against anyone of you of having turned into tribalism in whatever embassy. That will be very bad,” Kiir warned.

“I want you to be true representatives of this Republic,” he told the Ambassadors.

The Ambassadors have expressed contentment and promised to serve with the spirit of nationalism, saying they are ready to serve the interest of the Republic of South Sudan (RSS).

“As the first badge of national Ambassadors taking oath of allegiance to the RSS to which we stand united as one body, we will serve the interest of this nation,” Ambassador Majok Guandon the representative of the Ambassadors said during the swearing in ceremony held in J-One.
