WAU, 24 May 2012 [Gurtong] – The 13-member new cabinet comprises a new Ministry of Youth, Culture and sports which will be headed by Luka Lual Madhang.
The changes are in line with powers conferred in the state transitional constitution which provides for the re-constitution of the state cabinet.
Five caretaker ministers have retained their positions in the new cabinet.
Victor Atem Atem is the new Minister for Local Government, Achol Cyier Rehan, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Acuil Akoc Magardit, Minister of Finance, Trade and Industry, Dr Madhel Agei, Minister for Public Service and Human Resources Development while Nyanaguek Kuol Mareng becomes new Minister for Information and Telecommunication.
Solomon Anguei Mayuot is the new Minister for Health, Majok Bol Kur, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Andrea Aguer Ariik, Minister for Education, Joseph Mabior Malek, Minister of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Kuot Mawien Kuot, Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Vitoria Tito Biimo, Minister for Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Paul Dhel Gum, Minister of Animal Recourses and Fisheries and Luka Lual Madhang Minister of Youth, Culture and Sports.
