CBTF2E TA024 - Support to key Accountability Institutions in South Sudan
The Capacity Building Trust Fund Phase II for South Sudan (CBTF) is a pooled funding mechanism for supporting capacity building and public service reform in the Government of the Republic of South Sudan (RSS), financed by Governments of Canada, Denmark, Netherlands (acting as ‘lead donor’), Norway, Sweden, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The role of the Technical Secretariat to the CBTF is delegated to the Joint Donor Office (JDO) in Juba, and the procurement and contract management role is delegated to the Financial Management Agent. The CBTF has a mandate until January 2014. Pending satisfactory performance, CBTF may be extended up to 2017.
As part of CBTF’s Support to Accountability, two projects to support the Accountability Sector of the Government of the Republic of South Sudan have been formulated:
1) Support to key Accountability Institutions in South Sudan and
2) Increased Public Access to Information in South Sudan.
These projects are envisaged to begin in last quarter of 2012 and continue until 31 January 2014 with the option, at the discretion of the Contracting Authority, and subject to the availability of funding, of a three-year second phase.
The Financial Management Agent of the CBTF now invites interested Service Providers to express interest in providing services to support the implementation of these projects. The full Service Procurement Notices can be accessed through http://www.cbtf-southsudan.org. Applications must be submitted using the Standard Application Form shown in Annex 1 of the Service Procurement Notice or applicants may request the form from the email address procurement@cbtf-southsudan.org.
The deadline for submission of applications is 4.00 p.m. on Monday 23 July 2012 Eastern African time.
