New Deputy Governor Appointed in Western Bahr el Ghazal State
Morris Yel Akol has been appointed as Deputy Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State.

WAU, 05 July 2012 [Gurtong] - The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Governor, Brigadier General Rizik Zackaria Hassan.
“In exercise of the power conferred upon me under Chapter II and with reference to the article 99 (a) and (c) of the transitional constitution, I hereby decree the appointment of Mr. Morris Yel Akol as Deputy Governor”, said Hassan.
Prior to his new appointment, Yel was the State Minister of Finance, Trade and Industry.
He replaces Efisio Kon Uguak who had been the Deputy Governor and Minister Law Enforcement since 2011.
The State Governor is expected to announce his new cabinet soon.
