Relief for the Visually-Impaired: Eye Surgery Conducted In Yei
More than 80 South Sudanese are benefiting from an eye surgery being conducted by specialists from Community Blindness Mission (CBM) at Martha Eye Clinic in Yei.

YEI, 27 July 2012 [Gurtong] - An Administrator at Martha Eye Clinic Taban Lawrence told Gurtong that most of the visually –impaired patients are suffering from eye cataracts.
Lawrence added that those who have been operated on have now regained their sight.
A young mother from Yei, Abiriya Jeno, who lost her sight to eye cataract was delighted to see the face of her small baby whom she gave birth to when she was blind.
Community Blindness Mission, an NGO operating in South Sudan, is helping the blind to regain their sights and live a normal life in the community.
