TORIT, 19 August 2012 [Gurtong] -  The Muslim holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

Lojore congratulated the Muslim community during the prayers and advised them to embrace peace, unity and be tolerant.

“The state government together with all the religious denominations can work together to develop the state and prosper,” he said.

He called upon all religious leaders in the state to act as exemplary peace lovers and demonstrate that love to the people.

“I respect people of all faiths, and most of all I respect my country for having the freedom to practice or not practice a religion as one of the foundations of our democracy,” he said.

The governor called upon the citizens of goodwill to help the needy in the state arguing that the next war for South Sudan is to fight illiteracy and train the citizens to co-exist amongst themselves regardless of religious entities.
