The newest country has been born successfully,

“South Sudan has been born’’

I personally felt grateful to salute our heroes who took arms and time to fight for the freedom we just achieved today. They fought for the freedom of coming generation to have the freedom that they didn’t have before. Without them, we wouldn’t have come to celebrate our first independence of a new nation.  The youngest Africans nation has been born today on the 9th July 2011. This shown that South Sudanese are people of a clear vision from the beginning.

True we suffered for many years of civil wars in Sudan fighting our common enemies known to us; we got our freedom after brutal wars. We couldn’t have guessed few years back that our freedom would be granted to us without working to own it today. About 99% South Sudanese voted tremendously during the Referendum that leads to independence.

First and foremost, I would like to remember our Late leader William
Deng Nhial, who was assassinated in 1968. He is a great leader who sowed the seeds he left behind for us to know which road we should take to fight for our right. We did not give up even if some within us teamed with our enemies and hold guns killing their own people. Those who learned from you remained steadfast to continue fight to declare a permanent independence.

As we celebrate this beautiful day, let not forget our late leader Dr. John Garang, who refused to give up even during tough times. He continued to search for the road to a permanent domicile, which is independence. He sees the sights of freedom when others remain to betraying us because they lost their minds. We still have traitors in ROSS today but do they call themselves liberators, killers or criminals?

Importantly, I congratulate the president of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit; your contribution brought us to our destination. It’s a long walk to freedom you and Late Dr Garang took with no swing until we now arrive at to see, and enjoy the freedom. Your struggle painted our future along the line to celebrate this remarkable day. I wish you carry on with good leadership to directing Southerners to join you building our nation.

I am elated to pay accolade to all our martyrs who contributed strongly, and not live to witness the independence they brought. Because of them, we say goodbye to marginalization, oppression, colonisation, massacred and callously acts. I pour my heart to our widows; they are part of our historic independence we celebrate today. Wounded and orphans are the stars of this new nation to be added to the world Map, stay strong and dream big for your country.

I felt upbeat we have a new born Country in Africa today even if war took us long to own the right, not too late. I am bolt from the blue, that Egyptian people didn’t again respect their dictator, while they trusted him for many years. How would we trust those leaders who were killing our citizens in Sudan? Who want to be call abeed or remain slave for the rest of his life?  I preferred autonomy to have a self-rule that’s happening in South Sudanese towns. Freedom and equality must be given to South Sudanese across South Sudan as this is what we fought for in the last 55 years.
Protecting our citizens will be our first priority; I think putting people first than anything in the world is very important. Our enemies will try to full us back to war because of Abyei and many other thorny problems. The government of Sudan choose war when we stand strong and tell them our right, the use weapons. Joseph Garang would one said, you cannot change negro to be Arab or Arab to be negro, now northern brothers/sisters believes it today.
Hopefully, South Sudanese must learn to practice democracy, liberty and equality as we had achieved totality of independence. The whole world change in a minute and it began when the United States of America declared its independence in 1776. I now know that Americans did struggle as our leaders did to rule a country of their own. It’s time I personally will recuperate the cultural freedom I lost between the lines since I left my home-soil. Many young South Sudanese feel the same way because they didn’t have free will in South Sudan.
We didn’t have right to hold and keep on to our native cultures because the Arabs forced shaira law which was not our traditions. Southern politicians were being slain inhumanly by the tyrant government of Khartoum. A brutal destructive carnage will not occur in South Sudan as we divorced the cruel government.

I want to remember over two million people who died in the South as the result of five decades of war. We are free at last because your blood brought peace and self-determination. The government of Arab and Islamic north is the only destruction we will never fail to remember. You spilled out a great deal of your blood for us to reach and mingle to celebrate the first independence.

As we celebrate South Sudan independence for the first time, we must have peace in our newest nation. I feel with jovial exhilaration to eyewitness the birth of a new nation in the world. I couldn’t make it to Juba to join South Sudanese who shout ululations of happiness, but my heart with them. To all, my article doesn’t discriminate any group, if I left anything out, please exonerate me and let celebrate with join hearts.

I wish you all a jubilant South Sudan birthday wherever you are around the world. My fellow citizens, let celebrate our independence cooperatively.
