Re:
Dear RASFRANZ!

Whatever way you might have understood it, I think I am not interested to see Darfurians in doom but at the same time I do not see fractioning this nation as lasting solution to our chronic problem. I am not here saying Darfur should remain in the unity with the Northerners while south opt for separation, I am not that dark hearted to wish them misery by remaining under that devil in Khartoum.

My position remain that people of Sudan who think marginalised by Arabs in Sudan, they should struggle together to pursue their common aim from those gangs in Khartoum. Their unify hands may give them freedom but seccession will remain the hanging dream for many years and I don't think that peace in Nairobi will ever bring referendum vote. And believe me or not this country's injustice will be changed by force and not through claim of division which will never comes.

Re:
Mr.Abesha 78:

I have agreed with your suggestion about the separation of Darfur region from Northern Sudan; nevertheless, I don't know if the inhabitants of the area have thought for the independency, likewise.

Mr.Jakor:

The dictactorial, autocratic of Khartoum government will never improve better; therefore, let those regions make their final options, accordingly.

You know, the reason why southerners are interested for autonomy is to government themselves democratically - and this is what Darfurian people might need as well to have their own government and rule themselves in their region.

Mr.Jiengcol:

You have opinionated perfectly. Disintergration would potentially help those regions, which are under dictactorship and corruption, that are practises by the khartoum government.

It would not be a wise decision to continue staying with that tyranical government so far; even if they bow down with fresh promises, however.

Re:
Abesha.

Separation or indepedence, in my opinion, does not most of the time, perhaps always come because of pressure or of race. It comes when people demand it and speak about it. If you follow the news, you will realize that, the war in Darfur is not a religious war, it is not a war of " Land."if you will. More sadly however, some Darfur leaders questioned the willingness of the West to intevene militarily in the region.

Meanwhile, dividing Sudan because some countries are hundred times smaller than Sudan is not the solution, but only if people severly need it and willing to. However, the problem in Sudan is not all that Arabs, though they play the biggest part, we are also the problems.

THANKS.

Dear friends,

Considering how far the crisis has gone, I find it hard to imagine a situation, where african darfur inhabitants would return and lead a peaceful normal life...I am wondering whether it is not better, or inevitable for the rebels to seek independence from the north...Their people cannot accept to be governed by those who wanted to murder them, and give their land to northerners...Independence for Darfur, Independence for all african sudanese...

Darfur existed as an independent Sultanate from 1603 to 1874. It was forced to submit to Anglo-Egyptian troops, and became part of Sudan. However, it is not and has not ever been part of Sudan. Regardless of what government exists in Khartoum, Darfur must be free.

I support an independent Darfur. Or in a worse-case scenario, the joining of Southern Sudan [with Nuba and the Blue Nile areas], with Abyei and Darfur into a Southern Sudanese Federation.
