PETRONILE International is the commodities trading subsidiary of Nile Petroleum Corporation (Nilepet) Ltd, focusing mainly on crude oil and oil products. Nilepet is the national oil company of the Republic of South Sudan, established to participate in upstream, midstream and downstream activities in the petroleum and gas sector on behalf of the Republic of South Sudan.


1. DEPUTY CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER

Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy COO to join our team.  The role is based in Juba, South Sudan.

The Deputy COO will be responsible for ensuring effective deal processing, contract administration, risk management, settlement and reporting procedures for all of the company’s commercial activities.  The deputy COO will support the work of the company’s COO by focusing on day-day operation of the company.

This role involves daily interaction with the company’s London and Singapore trading, Logistics, risk, finance/Insurance, Credit, Legal desks and Trading Counterparties.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years experience in Energy/Oil &gas and/ or physical oil markets
  • South Sudanese nationality
  • Supervisory experience with strong risk management skill with attention to details
  • Proven relationship building and communication skills
  • Familiarity with the crude oil supply chain
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills, time and task management skills
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning
  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies

2. DEPUTY CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)

 Role description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy CFO to join our team.  The role is based in Juba, South Sudan

The deputy CFO will support the CFO in leading the financial department, focusing on cash, financial risk management, accounting and reporting.

We seek the highest caliber talent with an outstanding track record, international accounting qualifications.  The role requires a proactive individual, with hands- on approach to continuing the growth of this new organization.  A person who is solutions driven and focused on achieving outcomes is essential.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years experience in Accounting
  • South Sudanese nationality
  • Strong analytical focus and skills, with attention to details
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Strong accounting and tax knowledge (with international recognized qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability for continuous improvement

3. PRODUCTS MANAGER

Role Description

We are seeking a high caliber individual to manage the company’s oil products business, the role is based in Juba, South Sudan.

Reporting to the CEO, the Products Manager will be responsible for physical trading activities and operations for the oil products trading team. Negotiating deals and managing and validating the operations, contract administration and settlement process.

The position requires a strong understanding of oil products specifications and logistics, particularly with east African region.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Fluent English and Arabic
  • South Sudanese nationality
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, including international certificates
  • Familiarity with East African supply logistics and the crude oil supply chain
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, presentation skills, time and task management skills.
  • Strong relationship management and communication skills
